Food safety is important to ensure that the food you eat is safe for yourself and others. At iChef we ensure that the ingredients sourced are from reputable HACCP certified suppliers and our food properly stored when it reaches our warehouse.

Food safety is a shared responsibility. You too as a consumer have a part to play.

Here are some food safety tips for you to prevent bacteria contamination in your food:

  1. Bring your own cooler bag when buying chilled/frozen food so that the temperature does not change too drastically
  2. Check the condition of the food item and expiry date before purchasing
  3. Separate raw and cooked food in the refrigerator (raw food at the bottom compartments)
  4. Use separate utensils for raw and cooked food for preparation or ensure that it is properly washed when switching between the two

We have also included below other food safety tips on how to properly thaw and store your food.
