Baked Prawns with Citrus Spicy sauce (serves 3-4)


  • 2 Tsp Lemon zest
  • 2 Tsp Lime Zest
  • 2 Tsp lemon juice
  • 4 Tsp Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Chilli Padi (more if you like it even spicier)
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tsp Grated Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 Prawns


  1. Deseed the chillies and chop into small pieces
  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor (except prawns) and make into a paste (or mince)
  3. Defrost the prawns
  4. Remove the head, devein and butterfly the prawns
  5. Transfer the prawns and paste into a bowl and mix it well
  6. Let it marinade for about 10 minutes
  7. Bake for 6-7 minutes until it is cooked (10-12 minutes for fish)


You may also use other kinds of seafood such as squid or fish (halibut) for this recipe. This recipe is also suitable for steaming, pan-frying or even BBQ
